A.B.B.M.R.

TECHNICAL AND POICING POLICY

Each tractor must be tech inspected prior to pulling at any event to receive any payback or points for that event.  To help facilitate this, a tech day will be held prior to the beginning of the season for the purpose of checking each tractor to insure it is compliant with our current pulling rules and safety regulation.

An addition to insuring that each tractor is legal at the beginning of the season, we will be implementing a system of periodic checks of engine RPM along sealing the intake manifold to the engine and the carburetor to the manifold.  The later will be done by using a bolt on each side of the intake manifold and installing a pre-drilled and numbered cap/seal.  The same will be done for the carburetor by using two adjacent studs that are pre-drilled for a wired and numbered seal.  The club will furnish seals and caps.

The engine RPM will be monitored by requiring each tractor to have a pre-wired harness for the purpose of checking RPM during a pull.  The club will furnish the harness.  A wiring instruction can be found at the link below.  The first three placing tractors from the prior event will be checked as well as one tractor at random from the remaining field.  At the beginning of a new season the top three points tractors from the previous year will be checked at the fist pull as well as one from the field.

In the addition to checking seals and engine RPM, the following items will be checked by at least 2 tech officials before every sanctioned event for insurance purposes.  It is the responsibility of the driver to make sure his tractor has been checked prior to the pulling.

  1. Kill switch must stop ignition and fuel pump.
  2. Neutral start switch.
  3. Back-up light
